Rich Moncher


Richard Moncher is a Senior Consultant at Octagram since June 2023. He previously served as Director of Actuarial & Analytics at USAA, driving profitable growth for a $7B Property book through improved pricing, product development, and process optimization. Before that, he was VP & Actuary for Farmers Insurance, where he led a pricing, reserving and analytics team that delivered quarterly results while minimizing variability in overall, line and state reserves & indications. Previously, at Bristol West, Moncher created an expected vs actual reserve monitoring system and expanded analytical processes across states, products, and distribution channels. Moncher learned workers compensation at NCCI where he coordinated, presented, and defended filings, after devoting years to determining and communicating quarterly pool reserve levels. He also learned WC, other commercial and specialty lines at The Hartford where he started his career performing pricing and reserving analyses.
