Charles Zhu is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) currently working as the Sr. Director of Underwriting and Actuarial at Roamly, an Insurtech start-up focusing on providing insurance solutions to Sharing Economy marketplaces. At Roamly, Charles is responsible for all things Actuarial and Underwriting, including rate and reserve reviews, new product development, underwriting portfolio management, reinsurance renewals, etc. Prior to joining Roamly, Charles was an Actuarial Supervisor at Capital Insurance Group, a Western-regional property carrier, where he was responsible for enterprise data analytics and catastrophe risk management. Outside of work, Charles enjoys fishing, hiking, reading, cooking, mixology, and playing board games.
