Frank Chang currently leads Core Services Analytics globally at Uber. His team consists of actuaries and data scientists responsible for providing insights and analytical solutions that serve all of Uber's users.
Frank's career as a non-traditional actuary began in 2012, when he joined Google as their first actuary, responsible for pricing, reserving, as well as credit and risk modeling.
Prior to his transition to tech, Frank worked in various traditional actuarial roles covering personal, commercial, and specialty lines pricing, reserving, and reinsurance at Fireman's Fund Insurance Company and Esurance.
Frank graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.A. in Music and a Ph.D. in Mathematics. He volunteers on several CAS committees, has served on the CAS Board of Directors, and the CAS Institute Board of Directors.
